Stand in Holy Places
The Holy Spirit is within us; therefore, our bodies are the Temple of the indwelling spirit.
Keeping our bodies and minds clean and worthy of having the Holy Spirit presence within is an ongoing task. Jesus said, “Receive me and you receive the one that sent me.” Receiving the Holy Spirit is receiving Jesus Christ and receiving Jesus Christ is receiving the Heavenly Father.
The Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and the Heavenly Father are one. When we have received the Holy Spirit into our hearts then we are in the presence of Jesus Christ, and the Heavenly Father also. Have you received the Holy Spirit? If not, why not? Does reluctance to receive the Holy Spirit mean there is still some spiritual house cleaning to be done. We all have our work cut out for us but being baptized to become a NEW creature, and receiving the Holy Spirit is the start. The old spiritual garbage bound, and cluttered creature self is passed away, and a fresh, new and clean slate spiritual creature is born. A clean “Slate”.
As New creatures we are not perfect, but we are a work in progress. Jesus chooses imperfect men to be his prophets and Apostles, humble teachable men, and then has them follow His guidance through the Spirit of Truth to obey His commandments. We are born into imperfection; we strive for advancement and improvement in education, knowledge, skills. We learn to deal with danger, adversity, tragedies, disappointments, by learning Trust, Faith, Hope, and Charity, and learning to talk to our Creator directly through prayer and worship. We can relate to Jesus’s apostles because they were imperfect men who later became more and more perfected as they learned to follow His commandments. Jesus showed by his living example, that acceptable human perfection is possible to be achieved in our short lifetimes.
And right now, who would dare to stand in the presence of Jesus Christ? Well guess what. Stand right now because you are in the presence of Jesus Christ here where you stand. Here you stand in His presence in the earthly vessel of your bodies which have been given to you by our Creator Jesus Christ. It is only a temporary dwelling while in mortality on the ground (Earth). A temporary dwelling for our spiritual self. While here, it is the spiritual self that is developing and striving for a level of perfection that is acceptable to our Creator. This body upon death will be shed the same way a butterfly sheds its chrysalis when it emerges for flight, never to return.
Are you ready for his coming? Remember the story of the 10 virgins preparing for the bridegroom. Some were wise and some were foolish. Do you remember the guest that was invited to the Kings wedding feast but showed up without his wedding feast garments? He was just in his street clothes. He did not prepare for the King’s banquet and was not prepared to be in his presence before the King, and for this disrespect he was to be cast into outer darkness. How long will you take to get your acceptable spiritual garments ready to greet the King? Get your Spiritually Acceptable clothes on.
The ultimate, and only possible gift that we can give to our Heavenly Father is our acceptably perfected spiritual being, nothing else matters.
